When Lee Aaron arrived to the music scene, accompanied by an envious list of Canadian rockers, she kicked the door in, with full force. The edge of her music was quite hard for the time and her image of a Barbarian Queen was standing tall above the other female performers in her Motherland. Later she mellowed her look and music into AOR, which suited her voice and personality better.

It's the later style that brought her success. Although regretting the nude cover she did for OUI, she didn't shy away from charging her lyrics with hot steam. This is evident in the song titles like 'Whatcha Do To My Body' and a suggestive line from 'Gotta Thing For You' where she seems to be clueless, asking questions like: "Is That A Gun In Your Pocket, Or Are You Happy To See Me?" Her fifth album "Bodyrock" was produced by Brian Allen, of TORONTO fame.

The album opens with 'Nasty Boyz' and follows the same formula of singalong choruses until 'Sweet Talk' closes the first half of the CD, with it's 6 minute long failure to Power up an average Ballad. On the second half, she shakes up the dozing listener with a loud 'Rock The Hard Way' shout. Albani takes her cue and runs rampant on his guitar until it's time to save the reputation with another ballad, at the end. 'How Deep' does a better job of slowing things down, no small thanks to the interesting arrangement. It's also worth mentioning that Lee Aaron took a 'Rock Candy' from MONTROSE, unwrapped it, licked it and made it her own.

Finally getting around to listen to, (for the first time) some music I've been putting aside (for years). Including, things from the past I recently discovered, projects I previously had, but replaced with a newly remastered version, or those simple cases, were my last years order didn't arrive on time.
