News Report / Best Buy is no longer interested in taking a bath on Gun's N' Roses "Chinese Democracy", and is now practically giving the album away. As the exclusive U.S. retailer for "Democracy", Best Buy is offering a special deal on copies of the CD; you can now purchase the album via BestBuy.com for just $1.99. The retailer reportedly paid $14 million for 1.6 million copies of the album, according to Hits; to date, "Democracy" has sold just 614,000 copies in the U.S., based on Nielsen SoundScan reports.

I can't honestly think of any company that deserves a bath more than BB.  I'm sick of going in that store on release day and not being able to pick up a new CD.

I really thought it would be there.  Whitesnake is still well known in the states.  I'm gonna try to get the new Foo Fighters from there on the day it comes out, and I will be royally p'd if it's not.

Not only was the new Whitesnake not there, it was even listed as backordered on their website. ON THE DAY OF RELEASE!!!!

 

The hell with Best Buy, I'm going to FYE from now on.

I dont know if any of you guys remember a comment I posted on that "other web site" we used to visit, but I talked about how my local Best Buy had so many copies of "Chinese Democracy", that I doubted they would ever...EVER!!...sell all those copies. Had racks and racks and racks of them...and still do!

I remember that...  Come to think of it,  I have two best buys within a few miles of each other and they are both over stocked still too...
