The Verdict

The Welsh band's American debut CD features a great hook in the songs "Barracuda" and "Moth". The songs "Token Trapped Woman" and "Black Widow" (my favorite) are excellent.

Those are the positives about this album. While I don't expect or want any album to follow a by the numbers manner in producing rock and roll, this album stretch far beyond my personal palette. The album spends far too much time coming up with, as the press materials describe, "an esoteric/atmospheric sound."

Sorry guys, this just doesn't cut it with me. The psychedelic art rock era is OVER.

The album reminds me of the Savatage song "Agony and Ecstasy". The agony was listening to all the material I haven't mentioned and the ecstasy was when the experience was over.

1 out of 5?  I've already forgotten about this one....

I'll place this one in File 13.

Well my reviews are just my opinions, others may have different thoughts.

True, but I'll take your word for it here, just like I did on the Slave To The System CD.
