Mike Portnoy's new band, what do you think?

Absolutely SMASH!! The album's released the 12th of march.
It's not Portney's only "project". On the 26th of march, Flying Colours will release their debut-album, with Portney on drums. Other members of that band are Steve and Neal Morse.
I'm thinking about picking up the Flying Colours disc, but if you are gonna get it, I may wait and check it out in NMC first. Have you seen the video of them in the studio?
Unfortunally no, I haven't seen it yet. I've read an interview with Mike Portney, where he says, that it's Prog-rock in the line of Radiohead. Can you confirm that? I will definetly get it, so you can easily wait until it appears in NMC, either in mine or Jon or Scotts?!!!!!
Check it out:
I CAN hear a LITTLE Radiohead in it, probably the vocals, but it sounds like good Prog-rock to me. I'm really looking forwards to these two albums.
Love the tune, the music is most defintely SMASH, but the vocals are just STASH...
My opinion mirrors Scott's opinion...
Sure, SMASH, what the heck. Liking the geetar and I am surprised that more didn't have an issue with the singer, but he's ok in my book. For some reason I'm not really dying to purchase this, even though I like this song. It's just something that might get old after awhile. .
I'm surprised anyone would have issues with Russell Allan's vocals. He's fantastic. Fronting Symphony X, working with Jorn Lande and now here. Just excellent in my opinion.
