Look! New and improved! BIGGER ALBUM COVER PICTURE! Wow!
Have an interesting one here, not something you would expect from Daryl Hall. Now, I'm a fan of Hall & Oates, their albums aren't just wall to wall, radio-ready pop hits. There's always a few tracks that veer off to the side that take you by surprise.
Saying that, this album is a definite departure from Hall & Oates. Joined by guitarist Robert Fripp (King Crimson), this album was recorded in 1977 but not released until 1980 since the record company didn't think it had any hits. Idiots.
Granted, most of the album contains some off-the-wall stuff, but there's stuff on here that could have been played on the radio. Would it have made it a multi-platinum success if this had happened? Probably not since, again, this is not what you would expect from 1/2 of H&O.
It might be a bit too weird for some, but go ahead and give it a listen. I cannot stress how different it is, but you may find it beginning to grow on you, like I did.
As a bonus on the CD, there's two tracks not on the original release ( 11 & 12). These were on "Exposure", Robert Fripp's solo album. Hall and Fripp had recorded more music but only these two songs were allowed on the album. Business shenanigans I suppose. Track 12 is very interesting since it includes Fripp, Brian Eno, Tony Levin and Phil Collins, while track 11 features Fripp, Levin and Tony Marotta which turned into the 80's version of King Crimson.

The newest MSoTW is even EASIER than last week (that's directed at you-know-who). If they don't get it, I might as well just list the song title from now on......
