Video footage of AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler accidentally hitting guitarist
Joe with his mic stand at the end of 'Sweet Emotion' at Jones Beach, NY on August 12th can be seen below:
As previously reported, seemingly harmless roughhousing during AEROSMITH's concert Tuesday (August 17th) at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre resulted in
Steven being pushed by Joe Perry off a catwalk and into the crowd.
The incident occurred early in the hit-laden performance, during '
Love In An . Tyler had lightly hip-checked Perry, who, after completing his guitar lick, looked over his shoulder before backing into the unsuspecting front-man. Tyler, 62, briefly teetered on the edge of the protruding walkway before falling into the throng. Eventually, with help from Perry, Tyler climbed back on the stage.
Okay, Tyler's assault on Perry looks like an accident. No way did he do that on purpose. But why would Perry take a chance on hurting Tyler again by bumping him off the stage? I haven't seen the video of that yet, but even if he was "joking", something like that could put Tyler right back in a position to need more rehab. It almost looks to me like two people who really don't like each other, and the "pretend" rough housing turns into an actual fight.
