I think it's .......stash-trash. I know, you love Stanley's voice, RJhog, but I/you can really tell his age now. Probably like Jon, I would prefer The Elder 2, instead of this.....party-rock. I haven't heard all of the Erik Singer/ Peter Criss-track yet, but I've heard Long Way Down (not a bad guitar-solo, though) and 2 minutes of every track from the album, and it was hard for me to listen THAT long. I've said it before: This is not KISS for me. The last Real KISS-album was Dynasty.
The album, they made a few years ago sounded kind of okay. I don't think, I Can stand listening to the whole Monster-album. Do you think, it Will be your album of the year, RJ?

I highly doubt it.  Van Halen is still it for me and although I will purchase Monster, I don't think it's gonna be near the VH album.  I do hope for it to be better than Sonic Boom.

As a side not regarding album of the year, I'm still looking forward to the Black Country Communion, Soundgarden, Rick Springfield and The Sword albums.  I'll also be picking up Coheed and Cambria's new one as well as The Outlaws and Gary Clark Jr. (interested to hear Clark, supposedly a good guitar player).  But it'll be tough for any of these to beat VH for me.

When is The Sword-album's release-date?
Most surprisingly for me, I'm not so sure anymore, that my number one album Will be RUSH. It might end on second place.

October 22 for The Sword.  Danko Jones' new album comes out next week as well.  I don't know if Best Buy will have it, but I liked their last one so I plan on getting this one.  I picked up the new Heart and Muse yesterday.

And I will pick up the new Aerosmith, but I'm not expecting much.

Have you gotten and heard The Outlaws yet?  I wanted it last week but BB didn't have it.  I'm waiting to purchase 25 bucks worth for the free shipping.  I think I read that the vocalist used to be in Blackhawk (a country band), and they were cool.

I heard soundbytes and its sounds very country to me, I'm staying away from it.

Yep, I have it. I haven't listened to it yet, but the whole album is on youtube. I listened to a few songs and it made me want to buy. Scott's a LITTLE bit right...there are some country sounding songs, but there's quite a few where they let it rip. But that's always been the Outlaws, some countryish stuff and then some rawk.  henry Paul was in Blackhawk but he was/is also in The Outlaws.
