Classic Rock Bottom

What CD's or DVD's have you recently purchased?  And it doesn't have to be classic rock.  Let us know about any purchases that you think are worth sharing.

Still trying to pick at re-purchasing my vinyl on CD...  So just ordered...

Rod Stewart - Atlantic Crossing (2011 remastered)

Rod Stewart - A Night On The Town (2011 remastered)

10cc - Deceptive Bends (remastered)

10cc - The Original Soundtrack (remastered)

I got the CD-only version of the new Whitesnake album Forevermore today.

A review will be forthcoming at some point.

I ordered it today.  I thought Best Buy would have it, but no dice.

I'm done with Best Buy. The store across the highway from where I work almost never gets anything. Hell, even their website listed the CD/DVD version as backordered ON THE DAY OF RELEASE!!!!

I went to FYE and got it.

I picked it up at Best Buy...  but you are right, they generally suck for CD's.  I was there to get a print cartridge but I always check the CD section for deals.

Pre-Order and DIBS!

and just a little something else.....

Queen 40 Limited Edition Boxset (contains their first 5 albums, remastered, with a second disc of bonus tracks.) Yay me!

Nice!!!

Tell me about this Uriah Heep, Jon...is it a brand new release, of new material?

My latest shipment came in:

Extreme - live DVD "Take Us Alive" - Boston, 2009

and on CD...

Accept - "Blood Of The Nations"

Krokus - "Hoodoo"

Healing Sixes - "Blue Jay"

Mr. Big - "What if?"

Lynam - "Tragic City Symphony"

Halford - "Made Of Metal"

A few observations after a few listens...the Mr. Big kicks ass...I'm a little disappointed in the Halford...the Healing Sixes is a blues style, lighter rock record...the Accept is back to classic sounding Accept, and the new singer sounds a lot like Udo, only he can hit high notes much better...the Krokus is not bad, but "Hellraiser" is much better, in my opinion...and the Lynam is decent, but their last one, "Slave To The Machine" is really, really good...and finally, the Extreme DVD is awesome!

Tis a new studio album for Uriah Heep.
Ive already pre-ordered the Cars as well...  I think we'll all have that one...
I have DIBS cause I said so above!
You got it!  Now you just have to convince Niels and RJ...
