Classic Rock Bottom

WHAT CLASSIC ROCK (OR JUST PLAIN ROCK) ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

So what are you listening to right now?  Any genre is cool.

For me:

Scott's Hidden Treasure

Depeche Mode - Wrong (courtesy of Niels)

Kim Mitchell - Akimbo Alogo (courtesy of Jon)

Next week's Album of the Week (hint: think orchestra)

I've got the Phil Collins, Kiss and I believe the Billy Idol album as well.

My playlist for the first week of 2024 is:

Illusory - Crimson Wreath

Metal Church - Congregation of Annihilation

Savatage - The Wake of Magellan

U.D.O. - Touchdown

Ian Hunter - Defiance, Part 1

Sabaton - Primo Victoria

Ray Alder - II

Pride of Lions - Dream Higher

Kiss - Destroyer

All Sinners - S/T

Todd Michael Hall - Sonic Healing

Many Kiss fans (not all obviously) look at Destroyer as their best album, often citing the production by Bob Ezrin as a key reason. With you not being a major Kiss fan, what are your general thoughts on the album?

As I was listening to it this week, I found I really got into the album for some reason. Maybe more than I had before. I mean, the classic tracks are obviously great but I thought really keyed into the album with this current spin of the disc.

I've got the Warren Zevon and Whitford/St. Holmes albums.

I would like to hear that Jefferson Starship album and the Seventh Key album.

You don't have the JS album? I think the SK album might be tough to get, not sure though.

I do not. I'm not a big JS fan overall, even though I think Modern Times is one of the greatest albums ever recorded.
