Classic Rock Bottom

What TV are you enjoying lately?

For me:

Monday nights I watch House and Chicago Code then Castle. I absolutely love Castle. House is slipping and Chicago Code is a way to kill an hour. On On Demand I watch Harry's Law which has been surprisingly entertaining. I also watch Chuck (good unless it is a scene with the Buy More people) and Hawaii Five-O which has been decent. Oh, and I watch How I Met Your Mother online.

Tuesdays I watch NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles with my mom and love both shows. I also watch The Good Wife which has been superb. I also watch the new show Body of Proof which has been okay to start. And I watch White Collar which I love.

Wednesdays I watched Human Target but that is over now and likely will be cancelled. I just got back into watching Law & Order SVU as well.

Thursdays I watch Bones and The Mentalist with my mom. I also watch Royal Pains and Fairly Legal.

Fridays, I was watching Medium until it ended as well as The Defenders. And I love Blue Bloods too. Also started watching Camelot on Starz.

Saturdays I was watching the new season of Primeval but that's over now. I also watch Doctor Who when it is in season.

Sundays I've been watching Breakout Kings and just started watching The Killing. I also watched The Walking Dead.

Other shows I watch but can't remember which night they air are Covert Affairs and Luther. Plus Hot in Cleveland and Retired at 35.

So yes, I have no life...LOL

The big thing bugging the crap out of me was all the wishy washy behavior about whether or not to kill the idiot.

KILL HIM! He tried to kill you, don't give the bastard another chance at it.

I was just very surprised that Dale was killed.  But I guess it was about time for a regular to go.  Maybe now the black dude can get some more air time.  Hell, he didn't even have a word of dialogue last night.

I posted after only watching half the episode, and now that I've seen the whole thing, Colonel Kilgore Jr. has gotta go. He's an idiot.

And Olive Oyl still stodd around doing nothing but pissing off other people.

Why on earth did they kill Shane off?

And what's up with people becoming walkers w/o getting bitten?

At first I thought it must be a dream sequence, then I thought, this is how they leave the farm.  Herschel will die defending his home, but send his daughter (s) off with the group.  I don't really have a clue.  Somebody help me out here.

Because Shane became a mouth breather.

They're leaving the farm, no doubt about that. They're probably going to be seriously under attack next week.

Probably because there's something in the air that reanimates the dead. Don't know, but the same happened with the kid whose neck was broken.

Yep, I noticed that too.  But why would the kill off a major story line (Shane)?

Never read the books so don't know if he was killed off in those as well.

But...what's his storyline? He wanted to kill the kid (done). He wanted to split up the group (umm...not now). He doesn't seem to have anything to add or do, but I wish Olive Oyl and him went away, as well as the kid. Maybe the farm takeover will weed out some more...

And gee, that kid turned into a really, really, really good shot. Would also think that the gun he used would have had some kick, but no. He was Dirty friggin' Harry.

Keep in mind that in the comic series, Shane died in issue 6, he never even made it to the farm.

As for the dead coming back to life without being bitten, I'm figuring it has something to do with whatever the CDC guy whispered to Rick at the end of season 1.

And whatever he whispered will be revealed this Sunday...unless you already know since you read the series...

Jon,

Actually I don't read the series, just know that detail about when Shane died in the comic from various articles.

Is there anyone here that watched "Dark Shadows" as a child?

Or, is there anyone here who owns any of the series on DVD?

I definitely remember it, but unless it was re-runs, I was really young.  It ran from '66-'71, so the oldest I could have been was 5.  I remember being deathly scared of it, and I remember it was black and white.  That's it.  Anyway, I'm interested in getting some of it on DVD.  I read on Amazon that a complete series is due soon, no release date, but it's probably gonna be in the 4-500 dollar range.  I think it's around 130 DVD's and around 1200 episodes.

I would hold off on the box set. Guaranteed it will drop big time from the original price and hey, you've waited this long already so what's another year?
