I picked up a CD version of Bad Company's Desolation Angels today.
I've ordered the new Mike Tramp album Maybe Tomorrow. (I'll be reviewing that one for KNAC.com)
I also ordered the Metal Church live album Classic Live that is due out in April. I've mostly given up on live records but there are rare exceptions to that.
I picked up four CDs today:
Bob Seger - Beautiful Loser
Bob Seger - Like A Rock
The Eagles - Hotel California (Remastered)
Whitesnake - Love Hunter (Remastered)
Ah, Whitesnake's Lovehunter. What a controversial cover. There is nothing subtle about it. Coverdale made sure everyone knows what inspired the bands name. Remastered version has the Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City, right? One of the greatest ballads ever.
I also have the Hotel California, also the "unremastered" version.
I was surprised to see the Whitesnake album in the band's slot in the bin. I can't remember ever hearing that it was reissued so I'm glad I saw it and grabbed it up.
I picked up the Hotel California album to replace my worn out cassette copy.
Yesterday I picked up the new Night Ranger CD Don't Let Up.
The guy who owns the vinyl shop sent me a message on FB yesterday afternoon about some CDs he got in. Most of them were not stuff I was interested in, but he did pull some 80's stuff he did think I'd be into.
I didn't get everything but did pick up 6 CDs.
Whitesnake - Trouble, Slide It In, Live...In The Heart of the City
Junkyard - S/T
Saraya - When The Blackbird Sings
Sleez Beez - Screwed, Blued & Tattooed
Can I ask what kind of price you are getting on the CD's?
Five bucks for the used ones. Although I was actually only charged 20 bucks for the 6 CDs.
Picked up a book last night, It Crawled From The South (about R.E.M.).
Also got:
Pete Townshend - White City
Yes - Big Generator
Neil Young - Living With War
Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison
I picked up two CDs yesterday.
The first was the newly reissued 2 CD edition of Fleetwood Mac's Tango In The Night.
The other album was .38 Special's GH compilation The Very Best of the A&M Years (1977-1988). (I never realized just how many great songs they had and that I loved).
My local shop is celebrating their anniversary with 6 different 1 day sales this week.
Today it was 40% off all new and used CDs.
I picked up:
W.A.S.P. - The Last Command (Reissue 1997)
Dire Straits - Brothers In Arms (Remastered)
Mike Tramp - Museum
Scorpion Child - Acid Roulette
Whitford / St. Holmes - Reunion (comes with copy of their 1981 first album)
Black Star Riders - Heavy Fire
Norma Jean Fox
