I've got the albums from Robert Plant, Winger, and Van Halen.

For all the time I spent on this deserted island I did a lot of listening. One might accuse me of neglecting my other senses, but that is far from the truth. I also sharpened my observation skills. And what have I learned? It's simple really. To quote The Game Of Thrones:
"Storms come and go, the big fish eat the little fish, and I'll keep on paddling."
Rarely have I heard wiser words, and a more appropriate description of the event's unfolding the other day.

So, there I was.
Sitting on the beach and listening to some great music (as you can attest from "Exhibit A" below) when I noticed a handful of sturgeons roe cooking under the sun. They must've washed up in the sand during the last night's storm ravaging through the region. I could have gotten up from the comfort of my leisure and had me some caviar, but boy was I lazy. Next thing I know, there are a dozen or so flies munching on those aforementioned fish eggs. And before you know it, their numbers multiplied into a swarm. I could have gotten up then and there and put some popcorn-like crunchy food into my belly, but my favorite guitar solo just came on. However, the drama in front of me just got more exciting by the minute when an army of orange-belly treefrogs jumped into the picture, literally, and tongue-wiped those little buzzers out of mid-air. Again, I could have gotten up my ass and had a frog leg delicacy I heard so much about, but then I would have to put on some lotion, and I hate to get my hands greasy before dinner. Just because I did not act, it did not mean life stopped gyrating. In fact, a pelican stroke down on the frogs and scooped them all up in one swift sleight of the neck. If I was gonna put some effort into transferring my presence from point A to point B, this would have been the perfect opportunity to get me the main ingredient for a paprikash, but the sun was setting on the horizon, and I wasn't going to miss that beautiful moment. You probably think I am a fool or a romantic, but I can assure you I am neither one of those things. You see, that pelican gorged herself into a heavyweight incapacitated to lift off. This drama just turned into a comedy. A funny one too, because there was an opportunist waiting in the bushes for a moment exactly like this. In long leaps, a panda charged toward the gluttony pelican, past my spot, as if I wasn't even there. This dramedy was short-lived because the next thing you know it was a gory carnage Horror scene playing out in front of me, where the cute little bastard ripped the pelican's head off and devoured the rest of it, letting out the wimpiest roar I ever heard. And as if this massacre never happened, he slowly bounced back toward the bushes where he came from. However, little did he know, the moral of this story was going to hit me at that exact same moment, as he walked by me. Which is: "Good things come to those who wait." I wasn't going to waste this opportunity so, I grabbed a paddle and smacked the bear hard on the head with enough ferocity to break the blade and knock him out unconscious. Skinned its hide, shoved the shaft through its butthole, and roasted the cuddly MF in one piece over an open fire. I did all this without having to deal with the nasty fish stink, the disgusting texture of the fly's wing, the poisonous glands of the orange frogs, and last but not least, the chewy meat of the pelican and went straight to the goodness of panda meat.
It's similar to pork...
Just tastier.

This is the time when I tell you how these experiences are going to help me find a job many would be proud to have. But, before I do that, let me ask you: Did you know that most people will have 12 jobs during their lives? Well, I already explored 12 skills I have/had in the past, or I could easily upgrade to, but not once did I mention something I have to learn from scratch. For a good reason, I might add. I hate school. That being said, for my lucky 13, I would be willing to go back to the institution of higher education... if someone would be stupid enough to pay me. There's a way to qualify for government assistance, but you have to be cunning to know where they hid all the loopholes. First, you go to a deserted island a.k.a EI, a.k.a. Employment Insurance (for my friends south of our borders a.k.a. Unemployment Insurance). While there, make sure you don't work because in order for the government help to kick in, they want you to apply for jobs. If you have trouble finding employment, they'll provide you with a mandatory course where you can master all the skills of writing sure-proof Resumes and accompanying Cover Letters you need. The problem is, you don't want to work. Believe me. I know. You want to get to the part where you couldn't find suitable employment and the government is extending your EI for a max of 2 years while you further educate yourself. This is what you want. Easier said than done. Many neglect the importance of a good Cover Letter. Big mistake. This is the most important piece of application you are about to submit to potential employers. Let's put it this way, Resumes will paint your picture, but Cover Letters will speak of you. I'm sure you heard the phrase: One Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words. Therefore, if you want to remain unemployed, you have to choose your words wisely to unflatter the image your Resume might have shone upon you. Forget everything they thought you about composing a Cover Letter. Instead, make sure you include the following paragraph:
"I'm glad for the opportunity to join your team. My previous employer only saw a $20.00 / hour potential in me. I'm worth much more. I hope my skills will be valued for at least $45.00 / hour in your company. I know this is not going to be given, but I have a strong desire to earn it in a month-long training... if necessary.
I'm sure you won't regret the decision to hire me, and neither will I."
I can guarantee they won't call you for a follow-up interview. This will open the door for more education at your government's expense, of course. Now the only question remains what will be easy enough for me to do yet pays tons of money? I know. Nurse. And not just any nurse. It must be a Registered Nurse because they can administer immunization to an unlimited age group. This is a must.
Why?

Stick around, I tell you why.
First, the course is 2 years long. The longer you study, the longer your government will finance your fantasies. It's better to get paid and not work, than work and not get paid. Trust me. Secondly, let's examine my covid vaccine experiences. First time I went there I was greeted by a nice nurse. She even complimented my biceps. She said: "It's BIG!"
That's what she said! I told her, "If you think the biceps are BIG you should see my other "muscles". She said that wasn't a compliment, only an observation, which means she needs a longer... much longer needle. Well, lucky me. I was expecting the pain of my life, but strangely, I felt nothing. Hey! I thought I can do these things faster than any frequency my government throws at me. Needless (I wish) to say, I was in line as soon as I got the note for my second dose. In hindsight, I wish I wasn't. The next nurse I got was a dude. A Dude-Nurse is the opposite of the Hellooo Nurse. Unfortunately, he did not say anything about my biceps. Not to complain, but it was I who pointed out the obvious to him. He said he saw bigger. Wha-Whatever. I went on to educate him on how he needed a bigger needle. He didn't see the need for such drama, assuring me that even the regular-length needle will do the trick. Sure it sufficed, but at what cost? To pass the muscles, he shoved in the needle, the whole length... and then some, prompting a primal scream out of me. WTF was that!? And he had the audacity to smile and ask me: "So, how was it?" I stood up and slapped him across his face as hard as I could. "Something like this" - was my reply.
All the while, from the corner of my eyes, I noticed the security guy approaching our table in haste. With no time on my hand I whispered in the Dude-Nurse's ears: "If you complain to anybody about this, I'll tell them you touched my pee-pee". He did not. Complain. Nor touched my pee-pee, for that matter, but he did receive my message loud and clear. He asked the security guy to accompany me to a waiting area where I had to watch Mr. Bean going to a dentist skit for the next 15 minutes to make sure there were no imminent complications from the vaccine. I'd say, their concern came too late, but why complain? However, I learned a few things from this incident that are going to help me in my next dream job. There are 2 types of nurses. The Hellooo Nurse, and the Butcher-Nurse. I'm not delusional, I know where I belong, and I know there are many more people like me out there who don't shy away from slapping the nurse around once or twice. I need to protect myself from them. In order to do that, I have to choose my patients carefully. This is why I need to finish the Registered Nurse and not one of those shorter courses. If I do, I can gain access to an unlimited age group of patients, like old folks... and such.
Basically, those who won't hit back.

(747)

I've got the albums from Robert Plant and Symphony X.

Everything good... comes from God.
Sure. I was gonna say comes to an end, but let's not dispute either statement.
It's time to wrap up this desert island listening experience with the remaining years in my collection, and not think about what kind of job is waiting for me on the "other side" of this vast ocean of pleasure. It was good while it lasted, and soon enough I have to face the "real" Music, that is life, but as scary as that sounds, not everything is bad in civilization. I'll go as far as to say that there are fun things I miss doing. Things you can't bring here or replicate when you're cut off from the world.

Let's remind ourselves of them. Shall we?
After all, I need to ease myself into the everyday grind. And what better way to do that than picturing the fun I crave? There are activities in abundance that qualify for jollity and I don't want to clatter these pages with too many images, so you'll have to click on each description below in order to reveal those amazing amusements.

How about waterslides, rollercoasters, bungee jumping, running with the bulls, feeding pigeons on a Sunday afternoon, taking family pictures with our pets to capture those precious moments in time, taking in the environment on your toes to create photographs worth the Pulitzer prize, playing "real" football, tennis, mini-golf, grown-up golf, or competing in a bicycle race, canvasing petting zoo's, riding elephants, and last but not least; dancing in a Discoteque.
You know, the fun stuff!
